Who Am I?
My name is Chinny. I am a 26 year old woman currently working as a digital marketer in London.
I have a wide array of experiences and interests that have helped me develop several skills including:

- Musicianship
- Copywriting
I enjoy learning new things, and as a result of this I have interests that lean in many different directions, as can be demonstrated on this website.
Education
I have a bachelor’s degree in German and Russian from the University of Nottingham. As a result of this, I am able to speak German and I have lived and worked in Germany on multiple occasions.
I have studied up to A Level in German, Physics and Maths, as well as up to AS Level in Chemistry, giving me a strong basis in Maths and Science.
Recreation
There are many things I enjoy doing as part of my recreational activities. The main things I focus on are Music and Travel
Music
I have been an amateur musician since I was 9 years old. I began by singing in a church choir 3 times a week from year 4. I then picked up the Violin in year 5, and I took lessons for this instrument until I was 16. I also picked up the Viola at around age 14, through my music lesson’s orchestra. I currently play the violin in an orchestra in London. I recently picked it up again in September 2024, after around 10 years of abstaining from the instrument.
Travel
Through my studies, I have had the opportunity to travel to different countries that I would not have been able to travel to had I not done my degree. So far I have travelled to Nigeria, Germany, France, Czech Republic and Russia, and I would like to expand this list over the coming years. Here is a list of some of my goal countries at the moment:
Spain
I would like to travel to every country in Europe in my lifetime. Since I have been to France and Germany, the next destination for me is Spain. I look forward to trying the food and exploring the nightlife in Spain.
Portugal
When I was at university, I ran for tour manager at my music society, and I planned to organise our tour to Portugal. Unfortunately, I was unsuccessful, and the Pandemic put a stop to any tour ambitions for that year anyway, but I would still like to visit the country regardless.
Italy
I have several friends who live/have lived in Italy. This is a strong motivator for me to visit the country, not only to visit my friends, but to see more about the country they grew up in.
Lichtenstein
The year abroad of my degree fell during the pandemic period, which meant that I was unable to fully complete my year abroad. Lichtenstein is one of the German speaking countries I had originally planned to visit and I would still like to visit if possible.
Ghana
I am from Nigeria, and while I have visited Nigeria a couple of times, I do not know much about the neighbouring countries, or enough about Africa in general, so I would like to visit some countries in western Africa in particular. Ideally, I would like to take an African studies/history course within Nigeria, but until I am able to do that, I would like to travel to other West African countries like Ghana.
South Africa
South Africa is another African country I would like to visit. I know very little about southern Africa, and there is a lot of information in popular culture about South Africa, so this is one of the first southern African countries I’d like to visit.
Canada
I have several friends who live in Canada, one who is getting married in 2025! This is the main reason I would like to visit so soon. My goal is to visit in time for her wedding in the summer.
Japan
I have a deep interest in some aspects of Japanese culture, specifically the food, anime and some of the cultural dress. I would love to visit Japan and try some of the more authentic Japanese food, as well as to explore the country.
South America
I have put South America here as a continent, rather than as a country as a bit of a placeholder. I know I would like to visit the continent one day, but I don’t know enough about the countries to know which ones I would like to visit.
